This lavalier is designed to meet the high standards of HD audio while still being discreet enough for use in film, video, and theater. The COS-11x boasts a water resistant front mesh screen, providing better protection against perspiration and cosmetics. This feature ensures that the microphone maintains its superb frequency response even in adverse recording conditions, making it perfect for outdoor shooting in inclement weather.

In addition to its improved moisture resistance, the COS-11x also features Sankens original vertical diaphragm design. This design allows for a larger effective area within a small casing, resulting in unparalleled quality and performance. It has become the industry standard for lavalier microphones and has been imitated by other manufacturers, but never matched. Please note that this product does not come with a connector, as it has a stripped end.

This new generation lavalier was designed to meet todays HD audio standards while satisfying the concealment requirements of film, video and theater. The COS-11x features a new front mesh screen which is water resistant, better protecting the microphone from perspiration and cosmetics. As a result, the COS-11x maintains superb frequency response in adverse recording conditions. In addition, the water resistant COS-11x is ideal for outdoor shooting in foul weather.

Sanken utilises an original vertical placement of the diaphragm for a much greater effective area within an extremely small casing. Sankens unique and innovative designs have been emulated by other microphone manufacturers, but never matched in quality and performance.
