The SSH-6e is a mid-side shotgun microphone that offers precise control over the stereo image, allowing for the capture of direct sound and ambient sound in great detail. This advanced microphone allows for hyper directional audio recording and the ability to mix in only desired environmental sounds.

The SSH-6e utilizes Zooms Capsule System 3.0, which provides a stable connection and allows for 32-bit float recording. This system also allows for the use of the mid-side arrangement technique, where the mid mic captures direct sound and the side mic captures a wide stereo image, giving the user the ability to adjust the stereo width for their perfect mix. Additionally, the SSH-6e allows for recording in RAW, giving even more flexibility to adjust the stereo width after recording.

Midside Arrangement

Mid-side is an advanced technique that allows you to adjust the stereo width of your recording. The Mid mic picks up direct sound and the side mic picks up a super wide stereo image. Adjust for your perfect mix. You can even record in RAW allowing you to adjust the stereo width after recording.

Capsule System 3.0

The SSH-6e utilizes Zoom’s Capsule System 3.0. This new connector provides a stable connection and allows for 32-bit float recording.
