Overview
The Kameleon EVF Pro is a state-of-the-art design with high quality precision optics. It offers display calibration settings such as RGB, brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, and hue. It also has physical features like a joystick menu/function button, adjustable diopter ring, drop-in diopters for additional correction, auto-closing eyecup, 2-step anti-fog shields, and an Arri Rosette on both sides. It also includes software features such as custom scaling, frame lines, center marker/crosshair, anamorphic, 4:1 zoom, image flip, false colour, red line peaking, freeze frame, zebras stripes, histogram, waveform, vectorscope, audiometers, 4 programmable hotkeys, 3D LUT import, and SMPTE colour bars. A new firmware (V1.034) is available, which fixes issues with waveform consistency and flickering.

The Kameleon EVF Pro has all the features of the previous model, plus waveform, vectorscope, and a new display interface. It has a powerful, 1080p, micro-OLED display and is compatible with both SDI and HDMI cameras. It also features a built-in -1 to +4 diopter range and Zacutos patented anti-fog coating to prevent fogging in any weather conditions. The EVF is designed to be used with Zacutos Next Generation Recoil Rigs, which provide balance and comfort for the user. Overall, the Kameleon EVF Pro is a versatile and reliable addition to any camera rig.

In order to incorporate Waveform and Vectorscope into the new interface, Zacuto have changed the overlay to a classic 16×9 image with space underneath for scopes and additional information. Moving the data under the image also allows for a brighter, more colorful image and helps prevent burn-in.

A Powerful, 1080p, Micro-OLED EVF for All Your SDI and HDMI Cameras

The Kameleon Pro, ‘powered by JTZ’, offers unique features like 4K HDMI input downscaled to 1080P and 3D LUTS. With this EVF and the trio of powerful Gratical EVFs, Zacuto have an EVF for every shooting style.

The Kameleon Pro has a 4 pin Lemo power jack and a single SDI and HDMI input. It is the perfect EVF for Mirrorless and DSLR cameras and it’s SDI input adds versatility so that you can use it on a wide variety of other cameras. Like all Zacuto EVFs, It features a built-in -1 to +4 diopter range and Zacuto’s patented essential anti-fog coating formula. It never fogs in humidity or freezing temperatures. An auto-closing eyecup door helps prevent your display from getting burned by the sun.

Micro-OLED Display

With Micro-OLED screens, each pixel is lit individually so that when one is turned off there is true black. This makes for a wider contrast range and more vibrant colours for a vivid, enhanced picture.

Overlay and Brightness

Kameleon Pro has a classic 16×9 image with space underneath for information like Vectorscope, Waveform, and Histogram. Moving the data under the image allows for a brighter, more colourful image and helps prevent burn-in.

Peaking

The Kameleon Pro includes Red Line Focus Assist to ensure crisp focus. The Gratical EVFs have a few more options with both Red Line Focus Assist, and a Multi-Level Sharpening Focus Assist Peaking, so you can choose the focus assist option that works best for you.

The Zacuto Unique Anti-Fog Promise

The Kameleon Pro features a built in -1 to +4 diopter range and Zacuto’s patented anti-fog 2 level system. Level 1, the custom lens is coated in an anti-fog formula. Need even more protection? Move on to level 2, add the included clear anti-fog disc over the existing lens for increased protection. A light eliminating, auto-closing eyecup prevents sunburn display.

Tested from a freezer straight to use outside on a hot, humid day – and it never fogs! Any optical device is useless if it fogs. You won’t realise how much of life saver this is until you’ve used it!
