Overview
The Hydra Alien Car Mounting System offers unlimited creativity with its durable and lightweight design, allowing for flexible installation angles. It also features optimized shock absorption for smooth camera movement, ensuring fast and steady shots. The system is compatible with any gimbal that connects with 1/4″-20 threads and can be powered via P-Tap.

For longer shooting durations, the system offers flexible power options with its gold/V-mount battery plates. It also supports wireless control of the RS2/RS3 Pro through the optional Remote Control Kit. However, the newest generation of the RS3 gimbal is not compatible with the Security Attachment Bracket of the Power Supple Baseplate. Tilta will have an updated bracket available in the coming weeks.

The Hydra Alien Car Mounting System is specifically designed for car-mounted cinematography, with a customizable combination of plates and suction cups that can support a payload of 50kg each. It also features shock-absorbing silicon and improved suction cup plungers for better stability in colder weather. The system allows for fine-tuning of camera placement and offers full wireless control of the gimbal through the optional Remote Control Kit. It is compatible with various gimbals, including the DJI RS2, RS3, RS3 Pro, Crane 3S, and Ronin 4D. However, caution is advised when using the suction cups on wrapped vehicles due to potential issues with direct sunlight and heat.

About the Tilta Car Mounting System – V Mount
RS3 WARNING: The newest generation of the RS3 gimbal is NOT compatible with the Security Attachment Bracket of the Power Supple Baseplate.

The Hydra Alien Car Mounting System was designed from the ground up to work in conjunction with smaller gimbals to allow for a lightweight solution to car-mounted cinematography.

The system utilizes a highly customizable combination of dovetail-like plates and suction cups that can support a payload of 50kg each.

Highly elastic shock-absorbing silicon provides longer durability and less abrasion, while the updated suction cup plungers create a stronger seal for improved security in colder weather.

When interconnected, the system allows users to fine-tune the exact placement of their shot to achieve almost any angle possible when mounting to a vehicle.

The system also uses a shock absorbing arm to better stabilize the camera for certain shots as well as a spring-loaded cradle head if the intended shot requires that the gimbal be flipped upside down.

The newly included Hydraulic Dampening Pole further stabilizes the arm to provide smoother results when driving conditions are less than optimal.

The Hydra Alien supports full wireless control of the RS2 and RS3 Pro via the optional Remote Control Kit which allows you to control your gimbal’s settings, as well as the record and photo functions of your camera via either a wired or wireless connection.

It also features a thumbstick that allows you to control the pan and tilt of your gimbal for maximum precision while operating.
