Overview
New technology has led to a significant increase in battery lifetime, with the BP-FL75 battery now offering 2x longer operation time for the F5/55 and AXS-R5 cameras. This is made possible by the use of Olivine battery technology, which allows for faster charge times and a substantial increase in charge-discharge cycles compared to previous Sony batteries.

The BP-FL75 battery is designed for perfect integration with the F-series cameras, and can be charged in just 70 minutes with Sonys BC-L90 high speed battery charger. It can also be used with standard battery chargers, such as the AC-DN10 or BC-L160, with normal charging times. Additionally, the BP-FL75 is the same height as the PMW-F55 and PMW-F5 cameras, ensuring an ergonomically streamlined package for ease of use. With a fully charged battery, users can expect more than 1 hour of operation when working with the AXS-R5 recorder.

Olivine battery technology for faster charge times

The BP-FL75 battery uses Olivine – Lithium Iron Phosphate – instead of conventional Lithium Ion cathodes. The result is a substantial increase in charge-discharge cycles compared to previous Sony batteries.

Works with BC-L90 fast battery charger

The Olivine battery works with Sony’s BC-L90 high speed battery charger for the quickest charging times, just 70 minutes to be fully charged to 75Wh capacity. It can also be used with standard battery chargers (such as AC-DN10 or BC-L160) with normal charging times.

Integration with PMW-F55 and PMW-F5 cameras

The BP-FL75 is same height as the PMW-F55 and PMW-F5 cameras, making the camera and battery package ergonomically streamlined for ease of use. Fully charged, the BP-FL75 offers more than 1-hour operation of the PMW-F55 and PMW-F5 working with the AXS-R5 recorder.
