Overview
The Sonnet eGPU Breakaway Box 750 and 750ex Thunderbolt 3 to GPU PCIe card expansion systems allow for a simple and effective way to boost your computers graphics performance. With a 750W power supply, it can support the highest power demands of the latest GPUs and is designed to accommodate future generations of GPU cards. It also includes two 8-pin auxiliary power connectors and provides 85W of upstream power for charging your notebook. It is AMD approved for air-cooled editions of the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64, Radeon Pro WX 8200, and WX 9100, and is also designed to support overclocked NVIDIA cards with high peak power requirements.

The eGPU Breakaway Box 750ex model includes an integrated hub with four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports and one Gigabit Ethernet port. It is designed to accommodate the most power-hungry double-width GPU cards, including Thunderbolt-compatible cards from popular GPU chipsets such as AMD Radeon RX series and NVIDIA GeForce series. It can also support pro cards like AMD Radeon Pro and NVIDIA Quadro GPUs. The Breakaway Box can significantly accelerate video production workflows and can even be connected to multiple boxes for even greater performance. It also features additional ports for basic connectivity and can support other demanding PCIe cards. With a single-port 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 interface, it ensures the full 2750 MB/s of PCIe bandwidth is dedicated to the installed card, making it the coolest and quietest add-your-own-card eGPU system available.

Even the latest pro cards—AMD Radeon Pro and NVIDIA Quadro® GPUs—are supported! (Note that macOS® supports only AMD GPU cards in eGPU systems, while Windows® supports AMD and NVIDIA cards.) With a GPU card installed, a Breakaway Box functions as a simple plug-in upgrade to significantly accelerate the demanding needs of your video production workflow.

4K TO 8K WORKFLOWS – CONNECT TWO OR MORE BREAKAWAY BOXES

Many task times on supported applications—such as Adobe® Premiere® Pro, DaVinci Resolve™, and Maxon Cinema 4D™, to name a few—can be cut significantly with one eGPU Breakaway Box connected.
