MID49 Upper Cage And Audio Breakout – Canon C80

Upper Cage Upper Cage for Canon C80 is a form-fitting cage with 1/4-20, 3/8-16 with ARRI accessory pins, and M4x20mm ARRI-spaced threaded holes in several places. In the center channel, a replica of the Canon striped rosette allows the C80s original handle to be attached. The included top accessory rod holds a combination hot shoe, ARRI 3/8-16, M4x20, and the Canon mic hole pattern for attaching the C80s original microphone shock mount. A special 1/4-20 recess at the end of the rod holds the Audio Breakout AB-4 (Canon C70/C80) which is available as an optional add-on, and converts the cameras two mini XLRs to standard, full-size XLRs. HDMI protector clamps cables securely, and front lens support mount attaches to 3rd party lens adapters like Metabones, etc. Top ARCA Swiss dovetail slot accepts products like our ARCA Top Handle or ARCA Top Plate which are sold separately. Lower ARCA Swiss dovetail attaches to our Baseline 15mm Baseplate to provide rods at the correct lens height and is also available separately.

Audio Breakout Audio Breakout AB-4 (Canon C80, C70) is a passive adapter that converts the cameras two mini XLRs to two standard, full-size XLRs. Attaches by a captive 1/4-20 screw and rubber pad to the camera body or side plates. Two M4 threaded holes in 20mm ARRI spacing are available to add Breakout Box Side Mounting Bracket (ARRI 3/8-16) (sold separately), which allows AB-4 to attach using a 3/8-16 screw with ARRI locating pins. Attaches easily to rods using the Single 15mm Rod Clamp or Single 19mm Rod Clamp (sold separately). 12 inch (30.5cm) cable length with custom low profile right angle mini XLR connector.
