Overview
The Mid Kit for Blackmagic PYXIS is an essential accessory kit for Blackmagic PYXIS cameras. It includes a Top Plate with various threaded holes and ventilation holes, 2 Cage NATO Side Arms for attaching accessories, an ARCA Top Handle with hot shoe mounts, a Baseline 15mm LW quick-release baseplate, 2 15mm stainless steel rods, a Side Plate with mounting options, and an Audio Breakout AB-9 for audio connections.

The Top Plate provides 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes, ARRI accessory pins, M4x20mm ARRI standard threaded holes, and ventilation holes for the PYXIS fan. The Cage NATO Side Arms attach to the Top Plate and provide an adjustable NATO accessory rail with safety pins. The ARCA Top Handle has multiple threaded holes and hot shoe mounts for added versatility. The Baseline 15mm LW baseplate has ARCA Swiss and ARRI standard dovetail interfaces. The Side Plate offers various mounting options and is the correct thickness for vertical mounting on the Baseline 15mm LW. The Audio Breakout AB-9 converts the cameras audio connections into standard XLRs, with balanced audio and phantom power available for input 1 and unbalanced audio for input 2.

Quick-release 15mm LW baseplate with ARCA Swiss camera dovetail interface on top and ARRI standard dovetail interface on the bottom.

Side Plate (Blackmagic PYXIS)
A mounting plate that attaches to the side of the camera and provides 1/4-20, 3/8-16 with ARRI locating pins, an ARRI standard rosette, and M4x20mm threaded holes.

A marked set of 3/8-16 and 1/4-20 holes are on the sensor axis and the plate is the correct thickness to mount the camera vertically on Baseline 15mm LW (Blackmagic PYXIS) and use 15mm rods at the correct lens height.

Audio Breakout AB-9 (Blackmagic PYXIS)
A passive adapter that converts the camera’s front mini XLR and rear 3.5mm TRS plug into two standard, full-size XLRs.

Input 1 – balanced audio with phantom power via camera menu

Input 2 – unbalanced audio, no phantom power available

9.5 inch (24 cm) cable length with custom low profile mini XLR connector and Neutrik 3.5mm TRS.
