Lindsey Optics 4×5.65 +1/2 Diopter Brilliant Slot

Overview
The combination of a +1/2 diopter lens and a 15mm slot (air gap) between two “split” 138mm +1/2 diopter lenses, which are cut to 44% of their diameter, is used to create dramatic near/far effects in a scene. These lenses are known as slot diopters and are commonly used in filmmaking.

The two lenses are arranged with their cut edges facing each other, creating a “slot” of air between them. This slot is usually aligned with edges in the scene, such as a door frame, to enhance the depth of field. To make the alignment process easier, Brilliant² Rota-Slot Close-Up Lenses are mounted in a geared rotating tray and equipped with a Rota-Lock to lock the lens rotation at the desired angle.
