The Elinchrom EL26062 Umbrella set includes two 83cm unbrellas – one silvered and one translucent. The silver umbrella provides diffused light with a defined edge, but it reflects light more efficiently with less loss. The larger the umbrella, the softer the illumination. On the other hand, the translucent umbrella allows for soft, diffused “shoot-through” lighting and can be used for bouncing flash off its inside surface. This kit is a great addition to a D-Lite kit and offers an alternative to softbox illumination. Elinchrom umbrellas are made from non-fluorescent UV material and feature a unique central shaft design. Each umbrella comes with a protective sleeve.

About the Elinchrom 83cm Umbrella Set
The Elinchrom EL26062 Umbrella set contains two 83cm unbrellas – one silvered and one translucent.

With a silver umbrella the light is diffused although there is a defined edge to the reflected light source, so the effect is not quite as soft as the illumination from bouncing flash off a plain white umbrella. However, the light is reflected more efficiently and therefore there is less loss of light. The larger the umbrella the softer the illumination.

A translucent umbrella will allow soft, diffused “shoot-through” lighting. It can also be used for bouncing flash off its inside surface – with some light spill-through for additional bouncing off walls or extra reflectors.

This kit is an ideal addition to a D-Lite kit giving an alternative to softbox illumination.

Elinchrom umbrellas are all made from non-fluorescent UV material and have Elinchrom’s unique central shaft design.
