Overview
The Blackmagic Desktop Video 10.9.10 Update brings improvements to the PCIe video capture and playback capabilities of the DeckLink and UltraStudio models. It includes fixes for audio capture issues and improves compatibility with cameras. The update also brings updates to Media Express, including fixes for H.265 playback and support for ProRes files on Linux.

The DeckLink Quad 2 is a new model that features 8 independent SDI capture and playback channels, with the ability to configure the card in any combination of up to 8 channels. This means that each of the 8 3G-SDI BNC connectors can switch between capture and playback in SD and HD up to 1080p60, making it a versatile and powerful tool for video professionals.

Blackmagic Desktop Video 10.9.10 Update

This update improves capture and playback compatibility for DeckLink and UltraStudio models including fixing an intermittent bug where audio samples are not captured, as well as improving compatibility with cameras. It also updates Media Express to version 3.5.4 which includes fixes for H.265 playback issues, improves compatibility with files recorded with Blackmagic Design cameras and Blackmagic Duplicator 4K, removes QuickTime SDK dependency on Windows, adds support for playback of ProRes files for Linux users and more.

DeckLink Quad 2 features 8 independent SDI capture and playback channels in a single card! Fully compatible with the previous 4 channel model, this new model also allows 4 independent capture and playback channels but now also includes 4 extra channels that developers can use for configuring the card in any combination of up to 8 capture or 8 playback channels. This means DeckLink Quad 2 allows each of the 8 3G-SDI BNC connectors to switch direction between capture or playback in SD and HD up to 1080p60 and as a complete independent channel.
